Kitzbühel lies nestled between the majestic Kitzbüheler Horn, Bichlalm and Hahnenkamm mountains, 800 m above sea level. The northwest facing region is guaranteed snow for top-to-bottom skiing from December to April. Kitzbühel is famous for its smooth, grassy slopes, which require relatively little snow to ensure perfect skiing conditions along its 168 km of immaculate ski runs - runs which promise unforgettable exhilarating run, snow canons cover 84 km of the region's pistes. Winter sports enthusiasts can also check out the cool fun park where the freestyle skiers can test their skills. Naturally, there are also plenty of alpine taverns (over 50 across the region) where you can stop for a hot beverage and a hearty meal.Bergbahn AG, operates 56 modern ski lifts to whisk you to your favourite slope. We recommend you hop abroad the new 3S gondola, which takes nature lovers on a truly spectacular journey across the Saukasergraben Valley, and makes travel between villages faster. Free ski buses throughout the region take you to the lift of choice. And if you are a beginner, Kitzbühel would like to offer you a special treat: free use of the region's nursery slopes and practice lifts. Now nothing can stand in the way of a perfect day on the slopes.
